Originally from Belgium, the Waffle Factory fast-food chain, which specializes in savory and sweet waffles, opened its first location in France in November 2003, in the Vélizy 2 shopping mall near Paris. The brand has just celebrated 20 years in France.

Waffle Factory plans around ten openings in 2024

In recent years, the Waffle Factory network has grown in France at an average of about ten new openings a year, and plans to keep up that pace in 2024. Notably, according to the company's leaders, 80% of this growth comes from existing franchisees who already own one or more units and are opening new outlets (shops or kiosks) in their city or region.
